If Sign Does Not Work Follow These Instructions

Avery Weigh Tronix serial port for 640

1906-0409 - 4” RD4100

1000-8890-adapter cable also required

            1)    Push and hold the HOLD/MENU key until it says “SETPAS”. (*Note: If the indicator just sits there and beeps after 3-4 seconds, let go of the HOLD/MENU key, at that point “SETPAS” should       appear!)

            2)    Start pressing the RM key repeatedly until a 6 appears.

            3)    Press HOLD/MENU once.

            4)    Start pressing the RM key repeatedly until a 4 appears next to the 6.

            5)    Press HOLD/MENU once.

            6)    Start pressing the RM key until a 0 appears next to the 4. (*At this point “640” should be on the screen.)

            7)    Once “640” is on the screen press PRINT/SELECT two times. (*At this this point “CONFIG” should be on the screen.) If config does not come up on the screen start the process over and do the       first 6 steps a little faster.

            8)    Once “CONFIG” is on the screen, start pressing HOLD/MENU until “RS232” appears.

            9)    Press PRINT/SELECT should say PORT1, if it say’s BAUD then do steps 11, 14, 17, and 18.

            10) Press PRINT/SELECT.

            11) Once it says “BAUD” start pressing HOLD/MENU until “LAYOUT” appears.

            12) Press PRINT/SELECT.

            13) Press HOLD/MENU until “REMOTE” appears.

            14) Press PRINT/SELECT once, “LAYOUT” will appear.

            15) Press the G/N button until it says PORT1.

            16) Press HOLD/MENU until it says PORT2, then repeat steps 10-14.

            17) Press the G/N button repeatedly until the indicator says “BUSY”.

            18) The indicator should be back to weight mode, and the remote should be on.
