Calibrating a Model 715 Indicator using a Custom Sensitivity

This is the best method to calibrate a 715 if using any loads cells with a known output.

1.      Type in 715
2.      Hold the hidden E key for two seconds until 715E is displayed.

3.      The new configuration number will be 19_00.  Fill in the third digit with the corresponding column number from the table below based on the desired increments.

5.      Type in the new Configuration number.
6.      Press the hidden E key, E is displayed.
7.      Press LOAD/UNLOAD, the new configuration number is displayed again.
8.      Determine new sensitivity value.  The sensitivity value is equal to the eight digit mV/V output of all the load cells at the capacity used in step 3.
The 8 digit format is n.nnnnnnn with the first digit not shown if it is a zero. If the sensitivity is 0.1234567 then the first four digits are 123 and the last four digits are 4567.
9.      Type in the first 4 digits of the sensitivity value.
10.     Press the hidden E key and E will be displayed.
11.      Press and the first four digits will be displayed again.
12.     Type the last 4 digits of the sensitivity value.
13.     Press the hidden E key and E will be displayed.
14.     Press 2 and the last four digits will be displayed again.
15.      Type in the row number corresponding to the capacity of the system from the table below.

16.     Press the hidden E key and E will be displayed.
17.     Press 3 and the last four digits will be displayed again.
18.      Press GROSS to return to gross weighing mode

The sensitivity value can be fine tuned using a known weight.  Use the formula: (Observed Weight/Known Weight) x Current Sensitivity = New Sensitivity Value
Example:
Known Weight is 1200 lbs but the scale reads 1000 lbs.
The current the first four digits are set to 349 and the last four digits are set to 4933.  This means the sensitivity is currently set to 0.3494933.

      (1000/1200) x 0.3494933 = 0.2912444

New First Four = 291      New Last Four = 2444
