Kinze 640 Grain Cart Scale Kit

There are two variations to the Kinze 640.   

1.  Does your current hitch receiver swivel?
      See section on Hitch Explanation.  It may be required to order a hitch receiver pending on the hitch type.

1.  Do you prefer to do all the welding yourself?
      See Variation 1

2. Would you prefer a bolt on kit, in exchange for your axle and spindle slide outs?
      See Variation 2




Variation 1 (Weld On)


The Kinze 640 Grain Cart is a weld on type installation.  Typical installation time is 9 hours or more

Identify prior to purchasing...

-Refer to the hitch explanation section to determine if you will need to purchase a slide on hitch receiver.  Your cart may already be equipped with the hitch receiver if you have a swivel hitch.

-The spindle on the grain cart will need to be cut out and replaced with a sleeve.  The image below shows a spindle that has not been cut from the slide out axle of the grain cart.

Variation 2 (Bolt On Axle Exchange)


The Kinze 640 Grain Cart is a bolt on type installation.  Typical installation time is 6 hours or more

-Refer to the hitch explanation section to determine if you will need to purchase a slide on hitch receiver.  Your cart may already be equipped with the hitch receiver if you have a swivel hitch.

It is critical that you ensure you have slide out spindles on your grain cart.   Scale-Tec has run across KINZE 640 grain carts, or Grain Carts that have been restored as KINZE 640's that are really KINZE 600 model grain carts.   Older model KINZE Grain Carts do not have slide out spindles, and will require the Weld-On Kit in variation 1.

This kit provides new spindle weldments as shown below.  These weldments have new sleeves pre-welded onto the slide out frame and require no welding.  This kit requires you to exchange your spindles.  Scale-Tec will arrange pickup of your old spindles, you just have to have them palletized and banded for return.







HITCH Explanation


The Kinze 640 Grain Cart supports an "end cap" with a bolted on hitch option.   This end cap has two different variations.  If you have a "swivel" hitch, you will not need to purchase a hitch option listed below.

If your hitch looks like the picture below, you will need to purchase a hitch receiver in the table following the picture...
