Using Span to Fine Tune the Calibration on a 640

Span should only be used for relatively small calibration adjustments of 10% or less

  1. Press and hold the "Hold/Menu" button for three beeps then release.
  2. Enter "640".  Use "RM" to increase the displayed value and "M+" to decrease it.  Press the "Hold/Menu" button to move one digit to the left.
  3. Press "Print/Select" to accept and "640" will be shown again.
  4. Press "Print/Select" once more and "CONFIG" will be displayed.
  5. From "CONFIG", press the "Hold/Menu" button three times or until "SPAN" is shown.
  6. Press "Print/Select" and the current weight will be displayed.
  7. Place a known weight onto the scale system.
  8. Use "RM" to increase the displayed value and "M+" to decrease it.  The "TARE" button will reset span to the factory value.
  9. Once the correct weight is displayed, press "Print/Select" so that "SPAN" is shown.
  10. Press "G/N" repeatedly until the indicator returns to gross weighing mode.
