FIRMWARE FEATURE RELEASE

POINT® FIRMWARE 2.2.6 (GPS over ISOBUS)

Feature Highlight

Available today, the POINT® scale indicator can now interact with NMEA GPS messaging formats over ISOBUS utilizing the HarvestMate ISO bundle option. This feature will now allow POINT to record the GPS Location (Lat/Long) of the loading and unloading locations of the grain cart in the field, without the need for an additional GPS receiver. It natively uses the GPS location messaging from the tractor with the compatible receiver installed from the tractor manufacturer.

Compatible GPS Systems

Currently the only verified GPS system compatibility that has been field tested and proven is the John Deere Starfire Receiver system (SF3000 and newer). We expect to continue to expand this compatibility list as we interact with more systems, gaining more feedback from the field.

REAP™ Compatibility

  • POINT will attach the two locations to the load ticket.

  • REAP iOS mobile app will record the load ticket and display the locations (orange: loading pindrop, and green: unloading pindrop).

  • REAP Web Dashboard will display the locations of the locations as displayed in the app as well.

Solution

This solution will help the farmer determine any operator error where a load ticket may not have been assigned to the correct field.  This allows the farmer to visually verify where the load ticket originated from, thus allowing for the load ticket to be updated if needed to assign to the correct field location. This feature also enhances the load ticket reconciliation feature within REAP, that allows the user to identify and assign the field name to a load ticket reconciled in the load ticket history.
