Questions to be asked to identify the correct scale variation....


1.  What year is the Grain Cart?   
      -If you can not determine what year your grain cart is, refer to the pictures of the hitch below, which will provide an indicator of age.

2.  Does the Grain Cart have four sleeves welded to the underside of the axle with inside diameter of 2.88"?
      -This variation may be both associated with tracked and single axle grain carts.



There are three variations of the J&M 1000 Grain Cart Scale system.   Special attention must be paid attention to regarding hitch identification as related to the variation of scale kit needed.



If a 5 POINT scale system is needed, SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE CONSIDERED regarding the year model of the grain cart, and the measurement of the sleeve diameter in the hitch receiver.



Variation (1) 4.5" Spindle Kit

This kit is completely bolt on.  Expect installation time to take 6 hours or more.

Identify prior to purchasing....


- This kit provides load cell spindles of 4.5 diameter.  

- This kit provides a heavier 2.88" load cell shaft.

- Verify your hitch style looks similar to the picture below the hitch receiver retained by six bolts to the frame of the grain cart.

Variation (2) 5 POINT 2011

- Verify Grain Cart was manufactured in the year 2011.

This kit provides a new pintle hitch receiver.  The original hitch receiver does not fit the hitch load cell shaft. 

- This kit provides four load cells that support the hopper on top of the axels.  Verify your grain cart has the mounting sleeves welded to the axels shown with the arrows in the diagram below...  





- Verify your hitch style looks similar to the picture below the hitch receiver retained by six bolts to the frame of the grain cart.

- This kit provides four load cells that support the hopper on top of the axels.  Verify your grain cart has the mounting sleeves welded to the axels shown with the arrows in the diagram below...  



This kit does not supply a hitch receiver.  The original hitch receiver is utilized with the hitch load cell in the scale system.


- Verify your hitch style looks similar to the picture below the hitch receiver retained by six bolts to the frame of the grain cart.
